Two alligators were spotted in our lake by a dock. The Lake Board is requesting that you stay out of the water and keep all pets away from the banks of the lake. Steps are being taken to resolve the issue. More info will be posted when there is news.

Thank you for the notification!
The DNR and the Wildlife Resource Division has been notified. A local trapper will be notifying the board ASAP. Please continue to keep your family and pets out of the water and away from the lake bank until further notice. Thank you.
Thank you so much Renee for alerting us.
Jimmy Hedrick has contacted Trapper Jack. Two representatives have been out this afternoon to assess the situation. Due to the small size, 3-4 ft, the DNR only allows trapping the alligators. They are very busy right now so they will not be out for a couple of days to begin working on this situation. They have left instructions for us to NOT feed the alligators. Please keep all children and animals away from the banks of the lake. Please have patience as we wait for the trapping company to do their job. Also, please call our President, Jimmy Hedrick at 912-665-2303 if you have a sighting of the alligator(s) to report.
I will be sending out an email to your email address from Talahilake@gmail.com after I am done with this post. We want to make sure that we have reached as many of you as possible.
Thanks,
Renee
Thanks Renee. Also, if you hear a gasoline motor on the lake in the near future its most likely the Trapper, so don’t panic. And if anyone one would like further education regarding gators you can go to “Trapper Jack’s” web site. Thank you and be safe.
Are we any closer to being able to utilize the lake? Has there been another siting?
