There have been posts about the upcoming hearing on the application for variance to the property line for 406 Suncrest Blvd. I wanted to update you on a mistake in the numbers that were given. The encroachment to the 25 ft setback from the back property line is not 8 ft as was stated in the original letter from MPC. According to Brad Clements, who is assigned to this case, the amount of encroachment has been changed to 2 ft 3 in. The setback would be 22 ft 9 in. This is not a setback in our covenants, but a Chatham County Residential Property Zoning Ordinance.
It would be helpful to have the sign near Suncrest so that it can be seen from the road. The sign says the hearing will take place at 9:00 am on October 22, 2024 at the MPC office, 110 E State St, Savannah. On the MPC website the meeting is scheduled for the Mendonsa Hearing Room at 112 E State St, Savannah. I’m thinking this is in the same building as MPC and easy to find. You must buzz in at the door and there is a lady there to help direct you.
