I’ve seen the same thing during low wind conditions. I don’t know if it just pollen that has congregated but it usually disappears when the wind picks up. If you see a yellow oatmeal looking surface layer, this is an algae that would need to be treated. We had a bloom during May last year and were able to get it treated.
