Trapper Jack’s Attempts at Gator Catching

No capture with a rod and reel happened today.  Trapper Jack fished near the edges and docks starting on the west leg of the lake, where the last reported sightings from residents of two gators 3-4 feet long happened, and traveled along the bank all the way to the dam on the east leg of the lake.  He did not capture alligators but did catch three nice bass!  Don’t you love this lake???  The next step is to bait hooks and catch them by hanging the hooks just above the water.  Jack will let us know when he will be placing the bait out for them so that we can watch out for our pets.

The sightings were from 534 and 536 Suncrest residents who saw two gators hanging out in the middle of the lake across from their docks this weekend.  Please report any sightings to Jimmy at 912-665-2303.

Please continue to stay safe and clear of the water.  Keep children and pets away from the water’s edge.  We will keep you posted on Jack’s progress.

  • Saw one again across the lake from our dock last evening around 6. It was closer to the McAllisters dock. When it went under we couldn’t find where it resurfaced.
