While there is no reason to panic, it is essential for us to respond in a measured way. Jimmy Hedrick has contacted the DNR who referred him to the trapping organization, Trapper Jack. Trapper Jack will be here as soon as he is able to trap our Alligator(s). The video link below is about Trapper Jack and will provide some information about gators that show up unexpectedly. His trapping service has a good reputation and is the only one available in our area. When he does arrive he will have a gasoline powered boat and we wanted you all to be aware of this situation.
Information has been posted about the sighting on the www.talahilake.com website to alert residents; advising them that it is best to stay out of the lake and to keep pets and kids away from the shoreline until we resolve the situation. It would be helpful if residents would talk with their neighbors to make sure they know about the alert. Rest assured that we are moving forward in resolving this lake issue.
