  • Please ask the service to spray the bank and not just 20 feet out…the water is much deeper on the West portion of lake and the weeds are horrible. My dock is marked with # 19. Either strengthen the concentration or get closer to the weeds. Thanks, JJ

  • The weeds in the deeper water around the front of our dock seem to be dying , not so with the weeds in the shallower water close to the bank. Apparently they have not been spraying the shallower water. Please have them spray close to the bank. The number 234 is posted on our dock

  • Here it is the end of July , one month away from the end of summer and the weeds are still growing around our dock. The lake has been sprayed several times with very little results around our dock. There have two requests to tell the people doing the spraying to spray up on the bank instead of from 20 feet out. Now either the people doing the spraying are ignoring the instructions about where to spray or the are not being told. Maybe they are trying to save money and use a enough chemical to kill the weeds. The summer is almost gone and I haven’t been able to fish from our dock due to the weeds. I raked the weeds out of a small area so my dog could swim without being entangled in the weeds. I don’t think it is my place to rack the weeds in order to do anything. We pay $125.00 a year to take care of problems like the weeds. In the 35 years that we have live on the lake I have never seen the weeds so bad. Maybe it is time to try something else.

  • i agree. we need to have our annual meeting so we can collectively decide what additional measures can be made. the weeds and algae blooms this summer have rendered the lake almost unusable, and definitely undesirable.
other organizations have found ways to still conduct necessary meetings even with social distancing, or even virtual – we can too!
we need to review the history of the lake management efforts so we can make informed decisions about how to prevent such negative conditions.

    • I don’t think the concentration level is high enough to actually kill the weeds, a few days after spraying, you see a few dead patches and then a week later…the weeds are everywhere again.

      • I agree , the weeds on the left side of our dock seem to have died. The weeds on the right side that were growing in 5-6 feet of water that had reached the surface , the tops have died , but the ones in shallow water have never died. That leads me to believe they have never been sprayed.
